Does retirement planning mean I should spend less and protect as much money as possible?

Your opinion Ravi?
Retirement should not mean that you suddenly start living a compromised life because you are afraid the corpus will run out.
You may have already spent 20–25 years studying and then another 30–35 years working and meeting your family responsibilities.
Once those responsibilities are largely done, you should be able to look at yourself and the lifestyle you want to maintain.
The important thing is to know your potential income, your potential expenses, the lifestyle you want as your minimum standard of living and whether your financial plan can support it.
Financial planning is about finding a balance between living your life today and being prepared to live your life tomorrow.
“Money is more of an enabler in life. It’s not the start and the end point.”
“One needs to have a balance wherein he is able to live his life today and also be prepared for living his life tomorrow without any gaps.”
